The stock ej22e power steering reservoir does two things. It hits the hood, and it leaks. So I ripped it off and made an adapter to allow the use of an external power steering reservoir. It is my personal opinion, that is not at all backed up with fact, that the Nissan SR20DE and GA16DE power steering pumps have fittings that will bolt right up to the stock Subaru power steering pump that will allow an external reservoir to be used. These Nissans also have an external reservoir that you can use. They look almost exactly like the early ej22e reservoirs except that they are external. It also seems that most Nissans probably use this pump and reservoir. I hope to prove this theory the next time I go to the junkyard.
